Work Experience: Travis has worked with AEI since 2000. During his tenure with AEI Travis grown as an HVAC and Plumbing engineer. He has in depth knowledge of various types of HVAC systems such as: Split Systems, Rooftop VAVs, Water Source Heat Pumps, Geothermal Water Source Heat Pumps, and 2-Pipe & 4-Pipe Hydronic Systems. Travis has also worked on several restaurants gaining experience in kitchen exhaust and 100% OA Make-Up Air systems. On the plumbing side he has designed several restaurants, allowing him to secure knowledge of kitchen natural gas piping design, grease and sanitary systems, domestic water systems, and other general plumbing requirements of food preparation. Travis has designed the full plumbing systems for high-rise condominiums, medical facilities, institutional dormitories, and general office spaces.
Highlights of Work Experience:
American Metro Center; Trenton, NJ
Design of the entire HVAC and Plumbing systems for this 482,000 SQ.FT. former American Standard manufacturing plant that has since been converted to Class A office space. The project included many tenant fit-ups that took place over a phased schedule. Among the many tenants was the Federal Bureau of Investigations. This particular clients demands included man bars in the ducts and RF shielding in the SKIFť room for the MEP systems.
Capital Grille Tampa; Tampa, FL
Travis flew to Tampa to conduct a field survey of an existing restaurant located in the Tampa International Mall that was the future space of the Capital Grille Tampa. Along with the already complicated kitchen exhaust / Make-Up air design, he had other unique design criteria to follow such as hurricane rated equipment and louvers. Tampa International Mall standards along with Capitol Grilles’ standards raised the amount of client / engineer coordination that took place. Travis was able to satisfy both the mall and the owner through great communication on this complicated long distance project.
Central Montgomery Medical Center, Hatfield, PA
The CMMC is a 60,000 SQ.FT., 3-Story medical office building. The HVAC system is comprised of (3) 70 Ton Roof-Top VAV units each dedicated to one floor. Along with a CO2 demand control ventilation system, the building also incorporated a smoke control system capable of evacuating the entire (3) story atrium. Travis is also in the process of designing a MRI Suite located on the first floor.
Personal Highlights: Travis enjoys spending his free time hanging out with his wife and son. He also spends a lot of his time doing extreme sports such as ATV racing, surfing around the world, and training for marathons.
